🔬 What is Ion Exchange Resin?

Ion exchange resin is a specially formulated polymer bead designed to remove dissolved ions (charged particles) from water by replacing them with more desirable ions. These resins can either remove cations (like calcium, magnesium, iron) or anions (like chloride, sulfate, nitrate), depending on the application.

The two most common uses:

1. Water Softening: Removes hardness ions to protect pipelines, boilers, and RO membranes
2. Demineralisation (DM): Removes all dissolved salts to produce ultra-pure water
